Replace with registered business or proprietor name operates Tharu Maga at tharumaga.lk. This policy explains how we process personal data when you create an account, generate a horoscope, purchase a service or use AI Chat.
Information we collect
- account information such as your name, email address, telephone number, language and password hash;
- birth information supplied for calculations, including birth date, time, location, coordinates, timezone and selected prediction date;
- questions, generated answers, package selection, order identifiers, payment status and related service records;
- technical information such as IP address, browser information, security logs, cookies and session identifiers; and
- messages you send when requesting support, correction, deletion or a refund.
How we use information
We use personal data to authenticate accounts, calculate horoscopes, generate requested reports and answers, process and verify payments, provide customer support, prevent fraud and abuse, maintain security, diagnose failures, comply with legal duties and improve service reliability.
Birth-chart processing
The current application is designed to keep calculated horoscope context in the active browser session rather than permanently saving the full chart in the application database. Birth details are nevertheless transmitted to our astrology-processing server to create the requested output. If the session ends, you may need to enter the same birth information again.
AI processing
When you request an AI-generated character description or paid answer, relevant question text and a limited set of calculated astrology evidence may be sent to our contracted AI service provider for processing. We aim to send only the information required to provide the requested service. Do not include unrelated sensitive personal information in a question.
Payments
Payments are processed by PayHere. We receive transaction identifiers, amount, currency and payment status needed to verify and support the order. Card numbers and CVV values are entered on PayHere’s payment interface and are not stored by Tharu Maga.
Sharing and service providers
We may disclose necessary information to hosting, security, astrology-processing, AI-processing, payment and professional-support providers acting for us. Data may also be disclosed when required by law, a valid legal process, protection of users, fraud prevention or enforcement of our terms. We do not sell personal information.
International processing
Some technology providers may process information outside Sri Lanka. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to use appropriate contractual, organisational and security safeguards for such processing.
Retention
Account, chat and payment records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, handle disputes, prevent abuse and meet accounting or legal obligations. Session-based horoscope context expires with the applicable session. Backups and security logs may remain for a limited operational period before deletion or replacement.
Security
We use access controls, password hashing, HTTPS, server-side payment verification and restricted credentials. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so customers should use a unique password and protect their account.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable Sri Lankan law, you may ask whether we process your personal data and request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent where consent is relied upon, or restriction/objection where applicable. Some payment or transaction records may need to be retained for legal or fraud-prevention purposes. We may verify identity before acting on a request.
Cookies
Essential cookies and session storage are used for login, security, CSRF protection, horoscope context and service continuity. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login, payment return handling or horoscope generation from working correctly.
Children
The paid service is intended for adults aged 18 or older. A parent or legal guardian must manage any information submitted concerning a minor.
Changes
We may update this policy when the service, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised and the updated policy will be published at this URL.
